![]() Technology transfer: Readied for industrial use in the applications laboratory The selection and accurate parameter configurations of the laser sources determines the efficiency and quality for industrial laser processing. In its laser applications laboratory for photovoltaics InnoLas Systems systematically examines the applications of different laser sources for processing crystalline silicon solar cells and thin-film modules. New laser-based processing methods in solar cell manufacturing such as Contact Opening, Laser Fired Contacts (LFC), Selective Emitter Doping (SE), Emitter/Metal Wrap Through (EWT/MWT) and Junction Isolation are optimized in terms of process engineering. Adding to this is further development of solutions for image processing and handling. This demands specialized engineering expertise and excellent technical equipment.
